Business Context Spine — THE organization's memory: entities, events, state, knowledge, relationships, provenance, canonical truth.

THE Organization's Memory

The Business Context Spine is not a database, an integration layer, or an AI memory store. It is the governed substrate that holds Business Context — THE organization's memory that every other view serves.

The Spine enables shared Business Context and governed projections for humans and AI. Personal Contextual Memory and AI Continuity Memory operate on Business Context and serve it — they are not equal peers.

What the Spine Holds

  • Entities — canonical business objects (account, opportunity, case, invoice, person) with typed relationships — not provider schemas.
  • Events — what happened, when, caused by whom, in which Work.
  • State — current and historical truth, with provenance and lineage.
  • Knowledge — accumulated organizational knowledge, not raw payloads.
  • Relationships — how entities connect across domains and systems.
  • Organizational Memory — durable business memory that survives sessions, devices, and agents — after governed promotion.
  • Provenance — which provider, which connector, which ingest flow produced this fact, and under which governance verdict it became truth.
  • Canonical truth — the governed, deduplicated, reconciled view. Provider schema is never canonical.

Canonical Truth

Provider schema is never canonical.

Every inbound record is normalized, deduplicated, linked, and governed before it can become Spine truth. See Ingestion & Normalization.

Spine Enables Projections

The Spine is not viewed directly. Humans, Twin, and agents see projections — governed, participant-scoped renderings for a Work context. See Projection & Context Assembly.
