It is the **governed substrate that holds Business Context** — THE organization's memory that every other view serves.\n\n```text\n                    BUSINESS CONTEXT SPINE\n              ─────────────────────────────────\n               The semantic substrate\n               THE organization's memory\n               Without it, nothing works\n                          │\n        ┌─────────────────┼─────────────────┐\n        ▼                 ▼                 ▼\n   Human Workbench   AI Workbench     Shared Work\n  (projection)      (projection)    (grounded in BC)\n```\n\n\nThe Spine enables shared Business Context and governed projections for humans and AI. Personal Contextual Memory and AI Continuity Memory operate **on** Business Context and **serve** it — they are not equal peers.\n\n\n## What the Spine Holds\n\n* **Entities** — canonical business objects (account, opportunity, case, invoice, person) with typed relationships — not provider schemas.\n* **Events** — what happened, when, caused by whom, in which Work.\n* **State** — current and historical truth, with provenance and lineage.\n* **Knowledge** — accumulated organizational knowledge, not raw payloads.\n* **Relationships** — how entities connect across domains and systems.\n* **Organizational Memory** — durable business memory that survives sessions, devices, and agents — after governed promotion.\n* **Provenance** — which provider, which connector, which ingest flow produced this fact, and under which governance verdict it became truth.\n* **Canonical truth** — the governed, deduplicated, reconciled view. Provider schema is never canonical.\n\n## Canonical Truth\n\n> **Provider schema is never canonical.**\n\nEvery inbound record is normalized, deduplicated, linked, and governed before it can become Spine truth. See [Ingestion & Normalization](/spine/ingestion-normalization-pipeline).\n\n## Spine Enables Projections\n\nThe Spine is not viewed directly. Humans, Twin, and agents see **projections** — governed, participant-scoped renderings for a Work context. See [Projection & Context Assembly](/spine/projection-context-assembly).\n\n## Where to Go Next\n\n<CardGroup cols={2}>\n  \n    How external state becomes Spine truth.\n  \n  \n    How one business reality becomes each participant's authorized projection.\n  \n  \n    Three domains and why two working memories serve one organizational memory.\n  \n  \n    The semantic concept this Spine holds.\n  \n</CardGroup>\n"}
