Entity requirements
Every canonical entity SHOULD support:
- stable identity;
- tenant;
- provenance;
- lineage;
- source references;
- state;
- timestamps;
- relationships;
- lifecycle;
- sensitivity where relevant.
Relationship model
Relationships encode organizational meaning:
Person → member_of → Team
Person → has_role → Role
Person → responsible_for → Work
Work → concerns → Entity
Work → depends_on → Work
Work → assigned_to → Person
Work → delegated_to → Agent
Work → requires → Capability
Decision → affects → Work
Evidence → supports → Decision
Outcome → updates → Entity
Schema worlds
- canonical organizational schema;
- normalized provider schema;
- operational runtime schema;
- projection schema;
- event/message schema.
These must not be conflated.
Schema evolution
- additive changes preferred;
- version contracts;
- preserve provenance;
- migration plans for breaking changes;
- schema changes cannot silently redefine organizational truth.
