Execution Fabric & Hermes

Purpose

Perform approved work through reliable, observable, reconciled execution.

Flow

Intent
→ Capability
→ Immutable Execution Plan
→ Governance
→ Approval when required
→ Hermes
→ Tool / API / MCP / Workflow
→ Source System
→ Receipt
→ Reconciliation

Hermes

Hermes is the execution/orchestration runtime.

It is not the product's canonical memory.

It receives governed work and coordinates execution.

Execution requirements

  • tenant isolation;
  • idempotency;
  • correlation;
  • causation;
  • retries only when safe;
  • timeout handling;
  • dead-letter handling;
  • receipts;
  • audit;
  • reconciliation.

Ambiguous result

Unknown result
→ Stop automatic retry
→ Reconcile source state
→ Continue only after state is known

Outcome

Technical execution success is not sufficient. Business outcome must be verified/reconciled.
