They are working continuities that serve it — personal working notes for the human, working state for the AI. Neither is organizational memory. Neither is the Spine.\n\n## The three memory domains\n\n| Domain | What it is | Relationship to Business Context |\n|---|---|---|\n| **Business Context (Spine)** | THE organization's memory — objectives, KPIs, goals, decisions, evidence, lifecycle, outcomes | **THE thing.** Without it, nothing works. |\n| **Personal Contextual Memory** | Human's personal working notes, drafts, reminders, priorities | Working continuity that SERVES Business Context. Private by default. |\n| **AI Continuity Memory** | Twin/agent working state, plans, hypotheses, session continuity | Working continuity that SERVES Business Context. Not organizational truth. |\n\n## It is not\n\n- raw chat history;\n- agent working memory;\n- a model's prior answer;\n- an unreviewed extraction;\n- a provider-specific database;\n- a UI table;\n- a vector index by itself.\n\n## Lifecycle\n\n```text\nEvent / Evidence\n    ↓\nContext Assembly\n    ↓\nTriage\n    ↓\nCandidate\n    ↓\nStaging\n    ↓\nGovernance\n    ↓\nApproval / Rejection / Defer\n    ↓\nCanonical Promotion\n    ↓\nBusiness Context Updated\n    ↓\nIndex / Projection\n    ↓\nHuman + Twin Context\n```\n\n## Memory becomes organizational knowledge only through governance\n\n```text\nSource Data → Context → Work → Decision → Action → Outcome\n→ Re-ingestion → Verification → Reconciliation → Governance\n→ Business Context Update → Organizational Knowledge\n```\n\nMemory is not merely imported data. It is validated, contextualized and governed organizational knowledge that improves future work — and it lives in the Business Context Spine.\n\n## Architectural law\n\n> **Memory informs Business Context; it does not silently become Business Context.**\n"}
