Method first: objections are diagnostic gifts — each traces to one of the Four Enemies or one of five trust gaps. Name the root, answer the root.\n\n**Target audience:** Sales; CS for renewal-time objections.\n\n---\n\n## 0. The Canon Ten (evolved for the workspace era)\n\n**1. \"We already use ChatGPT / Copilot.\"**\n→ \"And your team demoted it to emails — that's not failure, that's a correct read of ungoverned AI. This is the opposite architecture: the Twin starts inside your context, remembers only what you approve, acts only with your approval. Different genus. Want to see the difference in one click?\" _(Show Beat 4.)_\n\n**2. \"We have a CS platform (Gainsight/Totango).\"**\n→ \"Keep it if it's earning its admin hours. It sees the CRM; your churn story lives across usage, support, billing, and email. We catch what it can't see — and feed it better data. When did its health score last catch a surprise?\" _(Card 4.)_\n\n**3. \"It's just another dashboard.\"**\n→ \"Dashboards show work. Workbenches _do_ work. A dashboard would have shown you Meridian's usage graph. The workbench connected it to the renewal, drafted the outreach, and waited for your approval. Which of those does your dashboard do?\"\n\n**4. \"AI scares our security team.\"**\n→ \"Good — ours too, which is why the architecture assumes the fear is right. The AI cannot write to memory or execute without a human approval; boundaries fail closed; everything audits. Bring your security team — the refusal demo is their favorite part.\" _(Proactive [42](42-security-faq.md) packet.)_\n\n**5. \"We can't afford another tool.\"**\n→ \"You're paying [H × C × N × 22]/month for the tool you have now — it's called reconstruction, and it's invisible because it's salaried. This costs [seat math] and removes most of that. Also: what are you paying for AI seats your team uses for emails?\"\n\n**6. \"Our data is too messy.\"**\n→ \"Messy data is the entry condition, not the blocker. Identity resolution across systems is a first-class workload — normalize, dedupe, resolve, with human review on merges. Your data enters as it is; the Spine assembles it into one governed view. The messier it is, the more you need the provenance.\"\n\n**7. \"Setup will take forever.\"**\n→ \"Connectors are OAuth — minutes each, no IT project. Hydration starts immediately; your team's first morning is day one, while deep history back-fills in the background. The POV proves it: tools connected in the kickoff meeting itself.\"\n\n**8. \"Will this replace our tools / our people?\"**\n→ \"Neither, by design. Tools stay — we assemble their truth, we don't migrate it. People stay accountable — the Twin has no authority, only preparation. We make your existing tools and your existing people compound.\"\n\n**9. \"What if you go away?\" (startup risk — answer with structure, not reassurance)**\n→ \"Three structural answers: your Spine exports anytime, open formats — leaving is always possible. Your tools of record keep operating — we're above them, not instead of them. And the contract says all of this, not just me. Now the honest part: we're early, you'd be a design partner, and the terms reflect that — [design-partner pricing + rights].\" _(Honesty converts this objection into the design-partner close.)_\n\n**10. \"We need to think about it.\"**\n→ Not an objection — a stall. Run the drill: \"Of course. So I bring the right things — what specifically are you weighing: whether it works, whether the team adopts it, security, or budget?\" Isolate → map to an outcome (POV, security review, stakeholder session, pricing walk) → next step ≤ 48h, named owner.\n\n## 2. Workspace-Era Additions\n\n**11. \"How is this different from what Microsoft/Salesforce will ship?\"**\n→ \"They'll ship agents inside their silos — genuinely useful there. The question they can't answer: whose truth spans the silos, and who approves what acts across them? Their business model needs the silo; ours needs your ownership. That's not a feature gap they close next quarter; it's the fork in the road.\" _(Cards 1, 3.)_\n\n**12. \"Can't we build this internally?\"**\n→ \"You'd build the dashboard in a quarter. Then entity resolution across [their tools], provenance, an approval lifecycle, audit, and a reasoning layer — and maintain it forever, and it leaves when its engineer does. Your engineers should build your product. What happens to the internal build when [builder] changes teams?\" _(Card 8.)_\n\n**13. \"Prove the Twin won't hallucinate to a customer.\"**\n→ \"Structurally: the Twin only speaks from Spine evidence — claims carry sources; without evidence it stays silent. Outbound content is proposal-gated — a human approves before anything customer-facing moves. And in the POV, you'll watch it decline to answer at least once. That refusal is the proof.\"\n\n## 3. Rules of Engagement\n\nNever argue — reframe ([objection drill guide](../../sales/objection-handling.md) patterns hold) · answer the root, not the sentence (§0) · every answer ends advancing (a demo beat, an artifact, a next step) · concede honestly where we're early — the honesty _is_ the differentiation · log every objection + outcome in CRM; monthly review updates this doc ([74](../13-operations/74-sales-metrics.md)).\n\n**KPIs:** objection → advance rate; top-5 objection frequency trend (falling = messaging working upstream); new-objection intake monthly (fresh ones get canonical answers within a week).\n\n---\n\n**Related:** [09 Battle Cards](../02-category-market/09-competitive-battle-cards.md) · [42 Security FAQ](42-security-faq.md) · [29 ROI](../05-value-pricing/29-roi-framework.md) · legacy drill: [objection-handling](../../sales/objection-handling.md)\n"}
